Rails, AI, and smart selling: Amazon Freight’s event lineup to close the year
Peak season is heating up for many shippers and so are the events for transportation and supply chain professionals. At Amazon Freight, we’ll be on the road a lot the next few months, connecting with our customers, meeting new shippers, and sharing how we help businesses tap into the Amazon network and our more than 60,000 trailers.
Even if it’s just signing up for our next webinar, we invite you to check out where we’ll be and hope to see you out there. Here’s what’s on the agenda:
Learn about Amazon AI at our webinar
Have you ever wondered about the ways Amazon uses AI in its network and how you can tap into it? Join Amazon Freight and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) on August 14 at noon central for a webcast on the ways Amazon leverages advanced technologies such as machine learning (ML) and generative AI to improve demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and route planning. You’ll also learn how you can leverage this tech for your shipping needs with Amazon Freight.
Matt Harris, Head of Enterprise Business at Amazon Freight, will be shedding light on our capabilities. He’ll be joined by CSCMP’s President and CEO Mark Baxa. Register for free here.
Lean into rail at IANA
If you’re curious about Amazon Freight’s intermodal offering and want to learn more, come see us at the IANA Intermodal EXPO in Long Beach, California September 9-11. The conference is the place to be to stay on top of industry trends, new regulations, and more.
Our intermodal team will be on-hand to assess your shipping needs and show how you can tap into our more than 20,000 domestic intermodal containers and network of trucks and trailers. At our booth (#713), you can even get a chance to take a spin in our driving simulator to see what it’s like to get behind the wheel of a big rig. We’ll also be hosting a networking reception on the promenade of the Long Beach Convention Center open to all IANA EXPO attendees on Tuesday, September 10 at 5:30 p.m.
Join Amazon sellers at Accelerate
The place to be for Amazon sellers? Amazon Accelerate. The conference is Amazon’s gathering of sellers to see what’s new and learn from Amazon experts and other sellers what it takes to grow sales and improve your operations. It takes place September 17-19 in Seattle, Washington.
Amazon Freight will be there in full force along with many of our other transportation brands, including Amazon Shipping. Come stop by our area in Partner Connect to meet the Amazon Freight team and learn about our shipping inbound to Amazon capabilities. Amazon Shipping will be on hand to show you the benefits of their small parcel delivery offering. The truck driving simulator will be here as well and you’ll even have the chance to “Ship Your Swag.” You can experience Amazon Shipping first-hand by packing up your conference goodies, printing a shipping label, and actually sending them to your home.
We also have a slate of speakers on the agenda. Ripley MacDonald, Vice President of Amazon Shipping, will reveal what’s new at Amazon Shipping. Rebecca Salt, Director of Amazon Freight, is going to sit down with a customer to learn how they make freight shipping a competitive advantage. And, finally, you can hear from Abel Guillen, Manager of Amazon Freight Inbound Account Management, who will unpack the specifics of Amazon Freight’s inbound options. The dates and times for these sessions will be published on the Accelerate homepage closer to the event.
Learn more from sellers at Innovate
If you can’t make your way to the West Coast for Amazon Accelerate, you can see us on the other coast at Innovate. Taking place in New York City October 29-30, the event is a chance for businesses to hear ideas from “today’s brightest and boldest sellers.”
Our Amazon Freight inbound team will be here as well to meet with sellers. You can sit down with our reps to share your shipping challenges and learn how Amazon Freight can turn those into opportunities. Amazon Shipping will be attending as well.
See the future with FreightWaves
We end the year in the trucking heartland with FreightWaves’ Future of Freight Festival. From November 19 to 21, industry leaders and shippers will come together in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It’s a chance to hear from the smartest minds in freight and their perspectives on what the future holds for transportation: Is the end of the freight recession in sight? What tech is being deployed? What speed bumps are ahead?
It will also be where FreightWaves reveals the FreightTech 25, their list of the most innovative freight companies in the country. Last year, Amazon Freight made it to the top for the fourth time. Come swing by our booth and meet with the Amazon Freight and Amazon Freight Partner teams to see how our tech can be your advantage.
Whether it’s on either coast or just on your computer screen, we hope to see you out there!
