Taking the uncertainty out of shipping
Bryan Cuevas, CEO of C Group Logistics, knows what it’s like to be an Amazon Seller standing at his warehouse dock, watching his trailer packed with goods heading out. “There is a small pit in your stomach because anything can happen on the road,” says Cuevas. “You need confidence it’s going to get where it needs to be.”

He found that confidence when he started working with Amazon Freight to transport his shipments inbound to Amazon’s facilities. As a growing logistics provider in South Florida, he’s ridden the ups and downs of the supply chain to create C Group Logistics. It’s a business that has its origins in the Cuevas family’s entrepreneurial spirit.

From juice to logistics
Cuevas founded C Group Logistics with his brothers in 2021. They have been a group of entrepreneurs since they were young, spinning up everything from juice stands and car washes to health and supplements shops. For a while, they managed seven storefronts. When the pandemic hit, they focused their efforts solely on becoming full-time Amazon Sellers. “It was a shift to move from brick and mortar to online only, but we learned the ins and outs of selling on Amazon,” says Cuevas.

Over time, they became more adept at shipping and logistics and saw a need in the South Florida region to help other Amazon Sellers. They pivoted to become a transportation and 3PL solution. Today, sellers trust C Group Logistics because Cuevas and his team have been in their shoes. “We know what needs be done to get goods inbound to Amazon,” he says.

Less uncertainty, more growth
“Our original problem, before Amazon Freight, was delays,” says Cuevas.

Shipments could experience upwards of 20 days before they were finally delivered. On top of it, they experienced poor communication from their carriers and little visibility on the status of their shipments. Cuevas knows “transportation is transportation and that creates some uncertainty,” but that doesn’t mean shippers should be kept in the dark.

In 2022, the company started booking loads with Amazon Freight and immediately started seeing results. Loads were now getting into Amazon facilities in three to four days. Cuevas was also struck by the “unbeatable” rates he was receiving which he could pass along to his customers. In his words, “shipping became less of an obstacle and more of an opportunity for us.”

The biggest results? Growth. C Group Logistics started 2022 with 100 customers. After Amazon Freight, they now have close to 500. “Amazon Freight is one of our biggest growth drivers,” says Cuevas. “It’s fast, secure, and a million times easier than other transportation providers.”

Better tech backed by hands-on service
At the same time, visibility into his shipments has also improved with Amazon Freight. He books loads in the online portal that is “super easy to use.” Once the load is picked up, he can immediately track its departure, progress, and arrival. “I like getting the notifications that keep me informed so I know everything is running smoothly and can grab a load’s POD quickly.”

As for confidence and assurances, that starts with the technology Amazon uses to keep its yards running safely and smoothly. “I know Amazon yards are secure,” says Cuevas. Then there is the trust that Amazon will deliver on its promises. “When my customers and I see those blue Amazon trailers pull up, we know our shipments are in good hands.”

They are also in the capable hands of their dedicated transportation consultant, Bobby Bailey. “Everyone in my warehouse knows Bobby’s name,” says Cuevas. When issues come up, Bobby is available to help mitigate them and find a quick resolution. On top of it, Bobby meets with C Group Logistics routinely to strategize for the future, find new opportunities, and optimize their operations for greater efficiencies.

Ultimately, it comes down to the fact that Amazon Freight is a long-term provider for C Group Logistics. “We always know Amazon Freight and Bobby will be there to follow through to the end.”
